Sent to Serve

Leading up to Jesus' death and resurrection He shares the ancient passover meal with His disciples. The meal is a commemoration of God's people being set free from slavery because the blood of a perfect lamb was put on their doorframes and doorposts. Jesus gives this meal a new meaning as He tells HIs disciples that He is the perfect lamb who will shed His blood on the cross so that all people would be set free from sin, death, and the devil. Yet, before this meal Jesus washes His disciples feet! What is this all about? Today we discover the joy of being sent to serve.
